GAD Talk Series #2: Where is GAD? An Open Conversation on Migration as Art Practitioners

November 16th, 2020

10am MIA / 3pm LDN / 7pm DXB / 12am TYO

Join us for a conversation about migration and transience in the artistic professions. This is our second edition of the GAD Talk Series, which will foster dialogues in the global art world during this pandemic. The topic of this conversation is "Where is GAD? An Open Conversation on Migration as Art Practitioners." Topics explored include: Do you feel like you belong to the art scene you are physically in today? Have you ever faced challenges in art sectors because you are a foreigner and/or don't speak the native language? Have you ever felt boxed in a certain national/ethnic category? Organized as an open discussion, this panel will be live-streamed on Global Art Daily's Youtube channel and will welcome live questions from the audience.

Panel:

Augustine Paredes, Artist and Photographer (Dubai)
Anna Bernice, Artist and Writer (Dubai)
Johann C. Muñoz, Artist and Curator (Miami)
Daniel H. Rey, Curator and GAD Managing Editor (Abu Dhabi)
Julia Saubier, Actor, Stunt Woman, and Creative (London)

Moderator:

Sophie Arni, GAD Founder and Editor-in-Chief (Tokyo)
